MAGNIFIN H-5 GV is a high-purity magnesium hydroxide modified with a polymeric surface treatment. Based on a mineral raw material, the patented process guarantees a regular structure of the cristallite.

MAGNIFIN H-5 GV is tailor-made for extrusion applications in TPO‘s e.g. EVA, PE, PP and grafted / cross-linked formulations. MAGNIFIN represents a halogen free flame retardant with low smoke emission and high thermal stability up to 340°C. During the decomposition process no toxic or corrosive gases are generated. The surface treatment favours the compatibility of filler and polymer matrix and therefore improves the mechanical properties of the compound, esp. the elongation and electrical properties.
